The Touch of Love team is thrilled to share our heartfelt gratitude and exciting highlights from our recent participation in the 2024 Aberdeen Kiltwalk. This year, our dedicated group of 15 Kiltwalkers, including myself and my daughters, embarked on the Wee Wander, a delightful 4-mile journey through the picturesque landscapes of Banchory. Blessed with perfect weather, the vibrant atmosphere at the Kiltwalk Village was truly energizing and inspirational.
Participation in the Kiltwalk is more than just a walk; it's a powerful act of community engagement and fundraising. Each step taken by our team helped to raise vital funds for the various initiatives of Touch of Love, contributing to a larger effort that saw thousands gather in a spectacular display of community spirit and generosity. This year’s Kiltwalk in Aberdeen was a record-breaking event, with over 3,500 participants raising more than £1 million for charities across the North East, thanks to the extraordinary 25% top-up by The Hunter Foundation.
We are immensely thankful for every cheer, donation, and word of encouragement that we received. Your support not only fueled our steps but also reinforced our commitment to our charitable activities. The funds raised will significantly aid in the continuation and expansion of our programs, directly impacting those we serve.
Our participation in the Kiltwalk is just one of the many ways we strive to make a difference. If you missed the event but wish to support our cause, we encourage you to visit our website or reach out to learn more about our upcoming initiatives and how you can contribute. Together, we can continue to foster a supportive and inclusive community.
Encouraged by the success of this year’s event and the incredible impact of our collective efforts, we are more motivated than ever to continue our work. We look forward to further engagements like the Kiltwalk and invite you to join us in future events to help continue making a substantial impact.
